The Vision
Cedar Hills Baptist Church exists to glorify God by creating an authentic community of fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, changed by the reality of the gospel, and are committed to seeing that change spread across our community and the world.
The Mission
GOSPEL-ORIENTED.
The gospel is our true north, our orientation, and the good news of hope for a lost world. It is through the gospel that we find our purpose, our power (through the ministry of the Holy Spirit), and our place in this world. As we navigate this life, we desire to be conduits for the gospel to be spread throughout the Cedar Hills community and the rest of the world, for the glory of God.
DISCIPLESHIP-DRIVEN.
We believe that a believer in Jesus becomes a true disciple when he or she is trained and sent out to make another disciple. The Lord has entrusted His church with building disciples who make disciples. With that truth in mind, our desire is to train and send a mission-sending body to the mission field each time the church gathers and leaves this campus.
GREAT COMMISSION-MINDED.
The last command Jesus gave His disciples was to go into all the world and make disciples. As such, this church recognizes that a Great Commission culture is the very basic element of the local church. Every program we offer, every dollar we spend, and every decision we make is based off of one guiding principle: does this glorify God and fulfill His commands?
PEOPLE-FOCUSED.
In the parable of the Lost Sheep, Jesus said there would be more rejoicing over the one sinner who repented than of the 99 already in the fold. Jesus’ ministry focus was on people. And, because Jesus focused on people, so do we. We constantly analyze what we can do to ensure the gospel reaches all who need to hear.
